Community Update: Pool, Playground and Trash Can Solutions

Published: July 01, 2025

I wanted to provide an update on the progress of the pool construction, as well as address a few items that have come up this month.

Pool Construction Update

The pool is inching closer to completion! This month the water meters were installed, allowing the pool to be filled and the irrigation to be connected. The electric meter has also been installed, and gate access and internet installation are scheduled for this week. The final permitting inspections will be scheduled with the city in the next 2 weeks. Once the certificate of occupancy is issued, the pool will be ready to open. In the meantime, the pool company has begun treating the water with necessary chemicals to ensure it remains clean and balanced. The surrounding landscape is scheduled to be installed the week of July 1st.

Playground update

The playground area next to the pergola will begin construction in the coming weeks. Although some of the equipment was delayed due to shipping issues, this will NOT affect the pool’s opening timeline.

Trash Can Screens

There have been questions regarding trash can storage. Per community guidelines, trash cans must not be visible from the front of the home. We understand that backyard access may be challenging, and garage storage is not ideal.

A practical solution is to install a screened enclosure. (Trash can Screen) If you are interested you may submit an ACC request. Approved designs guidelines:

• Wooden pickets must match your existing backyard fence
• Screens can be 1or 2 sided. 4 feet tall and wide. (large enough to conceal the cans)
• Landscaping is also a potential screening option on the side of the home
• All screens are on the side yard/corner of the home

Once the request has been submitted, I’ll be happy to work with you to find a solution that works for your specific property. Since utility meters, AC units, windows, water spigots vary by lot, screening solutions may be tailored case by case.

We’re excited about the continued progress and look forward to celebrating the grand opening at the pool with you soon! Wishing you and your family a happy 4th of July!
